Happy hours at the bar. What time start?
3pm. At least, that was the start time when i was there.

Not much. Agree with Chrissy. Believe it or not, does not even include parking. You get a discount off a few meals, about $30 in free drinks, and 2 hours of snorkeling a day for your stay. Benefits don't match costs.
Is any part of the beach here dog friendly? If so it that part still nice?
Good question, I made the comment to my husband that I hadnt seen any dogs on or off the resort,just struck me as strange? Plenty of cats and mongoose on the resort, upside no bugs which was a welcome relief visiting from Texas!

Nope. No threat unless you are at ground zero. If yiu want to check it out its best tontake a helicopter flight.

How close is the beachfront
The beachfront is only a short walk from the hotel. Take an elevator to the lobby, walk down the stairs to the bar/restaurant, walk around the pools, and towards the beach. On your way to the beach, be sure to take a look at the beautiful pond that you will notice while reaching the beach. On the beach, food, rentals, and beach chairs are offered to you.
